Ok, yeah, I’ll admit it. I have a bit of a “problem” with flowers. You know the ones… the little jars of Prima flowers that are so packed you have no idea how you could use them all. Somewhere along the way I realized I was a tad foolish for buying these jars and I’ve been trying to come up with ways to use the little buggers.
This craft was pretty mindless and fun and uses up a whole bunch of those flowers you know you have in your stash!
You’ll need:
- styrofoam eggs from the craft store
- pearl head pins
- flowers in various colors and small sizes
- scraps of ribbon
It’s a no-brainer, really. Place a small flower on top of a slightly larger one and use a pin to stick it in the egg. Repeat. A lot.
When the egg is completely covered you simply tie a length of ribbon into a bow and use another pin to attach it to the egg. Voila! Hang and enjoy your new Spring pretties!

Very cool! Love this great way to use up all those flowers that are just sitting. I think my kids would enjoy making them with me as well....off to the store to buy some pins.....
Awesome idea Jess!!
I LOVE this idea! Your huevos are cute! *snicker* I had to! I couldn't resist! Anyway, seriously! I love it! I'm gonna have to make some of these!
This is a great idea.
Those are absolutely ADORABLE!!!
Gorgeous!! I love the idea, it reminds me of the Christmas ornaments I used to ake with my mom as a kid. We used various sizes of sequins and pinned them to styrofoam balls :)
I am going to have to make some of these for me and my mom (and probably won't make a dent in my flowers...)
How egg-citing to see such an egg-cellent egg-hibition of egg-ceptional eggs! So cute.
You are my hero! I love how you can turn anything into art!
