My Boys Have Swagger

Have you guys checked out Paper Crafter’s Library yet?  I was new to this fantastic site until I was asked to create something for them with Fancy Pants Designs’ Swagger line.

I whipped up this cool shadow box of my two best guys… are they cute or what!?

You can see the full tutorial on how to complete this project over at Paper Crafter’s Library.

Craft and Connect

Hopefully you’ve been stalking the Pink Paislee blog this month to read all about the creative team members and see some self-chosen projects that represent our individual styles.  There is a massive (and I mean MASSIVE) giveaway at the end of the month, too, for entering the contest to use this color scheme:

As for me… well, you can read all about me, what Pink Paislee thinks of my work, and how I was a total stalker fangirl for years before joining the Pink Paislee team.  And check out the details of this butterfly gazebo I created for the event:

                            Butterfly-Gazebo-close  Butterfly-Gazebo-trellis

I used a whole ton of different things on this… Hope Chest, Cottage Farms, Artisan Elements, Luxe, and even a hoarded Nantucket tassel.  It’s sitting up on my spring mantel right now makin’ me happy.

Um, WOW!

Have you guys heard of UmWowStudio??  Lemme tell you, they have some amazing new chipboard on the market.  It’s thick and has perfect char marks and some of it’s layered, you guys.  Layered!

And that’s just a little peek!  Go see the rest!!

Wellll… naturally I jumped at the chance to get to use this stuff when I was asked to design for UmWowStudio.  I mean, really.  LOOK at the fun I am having:

I used layered butterflies and layered banners on this card set with paper from the Stella & Rose collection from My Mind’s Eye.

Stay tuned for lots more chippie posts from me soon!

Arise and Shine Forth

I am so behind in updating projects here on the blog!  I’ve been spring cleaning and Miss Lily is much more mobile now so I have been quite busy.  But I’m trying to catch you up on some of my recent projects and this one makes me smile every time I look at it.  How can you not love this face!?
This is a combination of Pink Paislee’s Cottage Farms and Luxe lines.  Check out that shine!  I adore this silver heart Placemat and cut it in half so plenty could peek out on the right, but I would have more to use later.

You’ll also note that I used a repeating motif of Luxe arrows all over my page.  They help direct the eye towards the photo… and they’re just plain cool!

Brown paper packages tied up with… seam binding

Hey everyone!

Today I’m showing you a sweet little box I made with Pink Paislee Hope Chest paper and embellishments from The Curtsey Boutique

I covered the kraft box in paper panels and wrapped the seam binding around it in such a way that the top can still open.

I used a glitter corrugate frame on the front with a bit of floral paper and a sentiment sticker. I love these soft, spring-y colors!

I layered all sorts of pretty shtuff on the top… a paper doily, glitter pennants, fabric flowers, felt rose, and a burlap butterfly.  It’s going to be just right to hold a little something sweet for Mother’s Day!

Thanks for stopping by!

We’re Bragging!

Sometimes it’s ok to brag.  Fancy Pants Designs is bragging all this week about their cool brag books and all sorts of projects using them!  Check out the blog each day for fun inspiration using these blank books that can hold so much.

And while you’re there you HAVE to see the upcoming mid season releases!  TWO words for you: cork.  chalk.

Beautiful Boy

Hey guys! Today I have one of my current favorite pages up on the Fancy Pants Designs blog AND a sketch made from it.  If you like trying to use a ton of patterns on one page you should give it a try!

You can see the full layout and sketch here:

Welcome Spring!

Ahhh.  This morning I took my son to school in sandals!  I will likely remain in them until October or so.  You know what this means, right? It means it is finally spring! Of course, that explains why my allergies have gone nuts but whatever… sandals, you guys!

I hope you all had lovely spring celebrations and are starting to feel the warmer weather too.  Today I’m ushering in new growth and sunshine with this card, which is featured in the latest issue of PaperHaus magazine.  If you haven’t given it a read you definitely need to crack it open!
Typewriter Thanks Card

Happy spring to you!
