It’s World Cardmaking Day!

Hooray for sending little bits of handmade sentiment to our loved ones!  Cards are big love in little packages.  I also like to make them because sometimes I just don’t want to mess around with a photo and you can play with techniques in a less “committed” format.

First off for today, I am thrilled to have one of my cards featured on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog.  Head on over there and check out all the other inspiration they have on display!

Second, and more importantly, I was honored to create these two Christmas cards for Operation Write Home in collaboration with May Arts

OWH-Santa-Cards

Operation Write Home is an amazing organization that sends cards to our troops overseas so that they can in turn send the cards home to their loved ones.  It’s some hand crafted goodness that is meant to bring smiles and warmth to those who serve and those who love them and I can’t really think of a better cause than that.  Regardless of one’s politics I think we can all agree that these men and women deserve our thanks and whatever small gesture we can manage to send them.  If YOU would like to send cards to Operation Write Home visit their site and learn more about the guidelines.  You can send one or a hundred!

Beatiful cards! I particularly love the patchwork feel of the top one. Stunning creations!
