Have you seen the latest Fancy Pants Designs summer lines? Making Waves and Summer Sun are bright, fun collections that can be mixed and matched for a ton of great summer looks.
Here’s my favorite little guy being a beach bum!
I focused on using the Fancy Pants silver foil papers and embellishments with foil details.
I used a Silhouette cut file for the orange background and backed it with silver foil so the silver peeked through the negative space.
Stay cool, everyone!
Dream. Explore. Discover.
Wild Things
Lovin’ the Office Suite collection from Fancy Pants Designs! I got the chance to work with some Spellbinders dies for this page, too.
I normally would think about using the label dies on a one by one basis but in this case I really liked the idea of using them stacked up as the main paper focus on my page. They create their own design as a collective element.
I used a black pen to line just along the edges of the embossing line to accent each label.
The butterfly dies were adorable and perfect for my “Wild Things” theme.
We got this photo strip from one of those mall photo booths that always produce some fun. Those smiles are infectious!
Adding a Little Dazzle!
Here's just part of my project, using the Fancy Pants True Friend collection and an embossed metal sheet from Add a Little Dazzle. These things are cool!
Stop on by the blogs and leave a comment to win prizes at BOTH stops!
Fancy Pants and Taylored Expressions
Head on over to the Fancy Pants Designs blog this week for three days of collaboration with the stamps and dies of Taylored Expressions!
We’re giving away some killer prize packs and showing off how we’ve mixed the latest Fancy Pants collections with some really fun stamps and metal dies. Check out my cards today (and more from team member Laurel and the gals at Taylored Expressions!):
Count Your Lucky Stars!
It’s new issue day at Paper Issues and this round we’re planning to Count Your Lucky Stars! The theme is open to your interpretation and could include projects for St. Patrick's Day, someone you're star struck over, movie stars, astrology, astronomy, use stars on your page, counting on someone or something, chance encounters, fortune cookies, or anything else you can relate!
Our generous sponsor for this issue is Lori Whitlock and if you link up your project you could win a $25 GC to the Lori Whitlock store!
I used her fun star cluster cut file on this layout:
I have stars all over the place on this sucker… it certainly qualifies for counting my lucky stars! I also used a bunch of As You Wish from Fancy Pants Designs. I love this collection.
You can see the awesome star cluster Lori Whitlock cut file I used here… boom! Starsplosion!
Have you checked out the Paper Issues swag bags yet?? It’s super fun to get an inexpensive collection of all sorts of ephemera and embellishments each month! I used a whole bunch of the March Swag Bag on my layout today:
So link up your stuff! You know you wanna!
Be.Loved.
Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day! As usual I was down to the wire getting all our treats prepared but it happened. This year I used the Be.Loved. collection from Fancy Pants Designs in all my valentine creations. It’s so cute and I love that there are more colors than red and pink to dress up this holiday.
First up, the preschooler treats: these are s’more bags with graham crackers, Hershey bar, and heart shaped marshmallow Peeps!
I used the Cameo to cut the little s’mores out. They’re so adorable I want to eat them.
Next, our teacher gift is one of those $1 reusable Starbucks cups with a pretty valentine sleeve and tag.
We filled it up with a Starbucks card and chocolate.
And finally a sweet card for my love bird:
I love the new foil papers from Fancy Pants! This is the red here in the background and I have already cruised through a bunch of the silver and gold. They cut like buttah in the Cameo!
My coffee cup is as filled up with love as I am this week and I am linking it up to the Fill ‘er Up issue at Paper Issues! You can still link your projects up until the 16th and be entered to win a $20 gift card to the store!
Don’t forget you can ALWAYS get 20% off everything in the PI store with my code SCRAPGOO!
Scrapbook Generations Inaugural Issue!
It’s no secret that the publishing world has been a little harsh on paper craft related mags in the past few years. Luckily, we have really talented people picking up the reins and creating some truly inspiring online magazines like the NEW Scrapbook Generations CREATE!
The Fancy Pants design team had the pleasure of getting to work with four sketches for this issue, myself included. You’re going to love these sketches for everything from layouts to tags to cards.
CREATE is a free monthly digital magazine published by Scrapbook Generation, a scrapbook store in Springfield, MO. The first issue, 223 pages, launched this week in conjunction with the opening of Scrapbook Generation's expanded, full-service online store. While it focuses on sketches, the magazine covers other topics of interest to scrapbookers and cardmakers, like mini-albums, journaling, techniques, and more. There is also a readers gallery and a call for submissions for the March issue.
Shiny and New!
There’s a shiny and new issue at Paper Issues! No, I mean… the issue is Shiny and New… Oh, come on!
The issue is called Shiny and New for a new year… we want to see sparkle, shiny, new whatever that means 500to you. For me, it meant scrapping Lily’s first experience playing in the snow. It was all new to her but she looked like it was totally no big deal. And there’s a tiny bit of shiny on this, too, with the drops of silver Color 500Shine.
Oh! AND this is a fabulous NEW collection from Fancy Pants Designs. Technically its a valentine collection but I was digging the colors for this and made it work.
We’ve also got a great sketch for this issue… I clearly used the heck out of it!
Get your shiny and new projects linked up and you could win a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues store to get yourself something shiny and new!
And make it even more awesomeR by getting yourself 20% off with code SCRAPGOO *any* time you want!
PaperHaus: Winter 2013
Have you seen the newest issue of PaperHaus magazine yet? Just when I think these magazines can’t get any more gorgeous the next one comes out and blows me away all over again. You can see projects from me on pages 39, 75, and 104.
This week we are celebrating the winter release with our Winter Frolic blog hop event. Head over to the PaperHaus blog to start today’s small hop or to participate in the rest of the days.
One of the most common holiday gifts every year is a calendar for the new year. Those pop up calendar kiosks at the mall are proof of that! But I prefer to make my own. This small pocket calendar for 2014 was created from the gorgeous Timbergrove collection from Fancy Pants Designs. I love that the 4x6 brag pad from this line has all the month pages in it! Super convenient! I kept the page embellishment to a minimum so it lays flat enough to keep in a purse.
Thanks for joining us today for the Winter Frolic blog hop! Your next stop is the fabulous Paper Issues blog!

PaperHaus Fall Splendor Hop Day 9
Welcome to Day 9 of the PaperHaus Anniversary Fall Splendor blog hop. You should be arriving here from Marilyn Rivera’s blog. If not, please stop over at The PaperHaus blog to get the entire list of hop participants for today.
You can view the latest issue, in all its fall splendor, here:
I’ve obviously been a little obsessed with Fancy Pants Design’s Happy Go Lucky collection lately. I think it perfectly straddles that line between summer and fall, which is pretty much where the New England weather is right now. I whipped up this little home décor piece from a 7Gypsys shadow box insert:
Today’s sponsor, AND your next stop, is Amazing Craft Products. Remember, by commenting on each blog hop post (only 5!) you could win today’s awesome prize from them!
Well, It’s About Twine!
Hey hey… it’s new theme day!
Paper Issues has teamed up with The Twinery for this issue. And I KNOW you’ve got some twine projects to link up! Anything with twine.
As a bonus this issue coincides with the latest challenge over at The Twinery and if you create something that fits their “X Marks the Spot” challenge you can link up there until the 13th for a pretty awesome prize.
I created a lot of Xs on this layout:
I used the Collecting Moments line from Fancy Pants Designs on this page.
I laced the left side of my page, leaving the top part open and folded back to reveal a small envelope to hold journaling.
So go link up your twine project on the Paper Issues blog and enter to win this fab prize pack!
