Summer Love

Hi everyone!  Summer is in full swing now, with 90+ degree days so far all this week here.  Ugh!  But summertime does bring some pretty cute photos to scrap, so there’s that.

Today I’m up at Pink Paislee where we have been teaming up with Epiphany Crafts to show you their super fun punch tools that allow you to punch and add a shaped epoxy bubble on top in one step.  They are SO neat and easy to use!  And kind of addictive.

Masking with Mediums

Last week I shared a couple of cards on the Pink Paislee blog that made use of the She Art stencils.  I love these!  I want to use the doily ones on pretty much everything.

All week the team showed some fantastic ways to use the stencils but I focused on using a couple of different mediums: spray ink and gel medium. Check out Pink Paislee for more info and photos.

Heart & Soul

My heart and soul are up at UmWowStudio today, featuring their super cool layered circles and symbol mash chipboard shapes.  GAH!  This stuff is just so. much. fun!

Heart-and-Soul

I used a lot of bits and pieces on this.  The patterned paper is mostly Pink Paislee’s Luxe.  You can also see some Luxe rub-ons and alphas.  The cork stuff is Little Yellow Bicycle.  The punchinella is from Gauche Alchemy (it’s wood grain, you guys!) and the rhinestone circles are wayyyyyy old Heidi Grace.

Heart-and-Soul-detail1

They are hard to see but I also tucked in a couple of white feathers.  I love that airy texture with all the raw chip and metallics.

Heart-and-Soul-detail2

Circles, circles everywhere.  I used the layering bits of chip on their own, un-layered, because I was digging the different sizes.

I sort of love this page.

Sooooo, I am linking it up at Paper Issues for the Pink Paislee/Mother’s Day issue and you should link up too!  And you still have time to throw your name in the hat to win some stellar Pink Paislee goodies! Hurry!!

3D Home Decor

Did you guys know that Pink Paislee publishes little ebooks filled with inspiration and instructions for projects all done with the same collection?  Yeah, pretty awesome, especially when you love a particular line but just don’t know where to begin.

Secret Crush may be a Valentine collection but you really can use it for so much more.  And while my home décor piece is lovey dovey you could translate the idea to any color combo or holiday.

All of the flowers on this are formed from folded hearts:

I love it so much it is still on my mantel… in May…

Craft and Connect

Hopefully you’ve been stalking the Pink Paislee blog this month to read all about the creative team members and see some self-chosen projects that represent our individual styles.  There is a massive (and I mean MASSIVE) giveaway at the end of the month, too, for entering the contest to use this color scheme:

ColorCrush_April2
As for me… well, you can read all about me, what Pink Paislee thinks of my work, and how I was a total stalker fangirl for years before joining the Pink Paislee team.  And check out the details of this butterfly gazebo I created for the event:

I used a whole ton of different things on this… Hope Chest, Cottage Farms, Artisan Elements, Luxe, and even a hoarded Nantucket tassel.  It’s sitting up on my spring mantel right now makin’ me happy.

Arise and Shine Forth

I am so behind in updating projects here on the blog!  I’ve been spring cleaning and Miss Lily is much more mobile now so I have been quite busy.  But I’m trying to catch you up on some of my recent projects and this one makes me smile every time I look at it.  How can you not love this face!?

This is a combination of Pink Paislee’s Cottage Farms and Luxe lines.  Check out that shine!  I adore this silver heart Placemat and cut it in half so plenty could peek out on the right, but I would have more to use later.

You’ll also note that I used a repeating motif of Luxe arrows all over my page.  They help direct the eye towards the photo… and they’re just plain cool!

My Sweet Heart

It’s true… I make gorgeous babies.  I may be insecure about 98% of anything related to myself but my kids are my biggest pride and joy and I like to show them off!  Here’s my littlest Valentine, Lily, being a model sweetheart for the Pink Paislee Love Note line:

I used all kinds of fussy cuts, stitching, and ephemera to form the heart design around the cluster of photos.

I think this is my favorite Valentine collection ever in case you couldn’t tell.  ;-)

Scor-Pal + Pink Paislee = Awesome

This week the Pink Paislee gals are swapping and hopping with Scor-Pal to bring you projects that show off creative scoring.  Today I am showing off these four Portfolio and Artisan cards that go beyond standard card folds.  I used the Scor-Pal score board, 1/4” tape, and a tape sheet.

I also decorated the insides of these cards for extra punch!

World Card Making Day

Ohhh, the interwebs is abuzz with World Card Making Day!  It seems like everyone is busting out the paper scraps and sentiment stamps to celebrate and I surely can’t be left behind!

Fancy Pants has teamed up with a favorite of mine… Operation Write Home.  OWH sends cards overseas to our men and women in uniform for them to send home to their loved ones.  I highly recommend checking out exactly what they do and contributing! Head on over to the Fancy Pants blog to see some inspiring cards, a blog hop, and giveaways!

I created this baby card using the Hopscotch collection and an Artist Edition alphabet card:

Paper Issues is also having a ton of fun today on our Facebook page

PI WCMD

We’re giving away four $20 Paper Issues gift certificates to lucky peeps who post a card to our wall.  Easy!
Annnnnnnd… don’t forget that you can use my code “SCRAPGOO” in the Paper Issues store *anytime* for a cool 20% off!

Here are a couple of super simple toddler birthday cards I whipped up last month.  We had a three year old girl’s birthday to attend:

Circus-Tent-Card

And a four year old boy’s fire truck party too:

Fire-Truck-Card

Both of these were cut with the Silhouette.  The circus tent card uses Fancy Pants’ Summer Soul collection and the fire truck card is entirely cardstock… which I never do!

Finally, if you need a challenge to get your mojo flowing head on over to Pink Paislee where you can enter to win the entire City Sidewalks collection!
